I'm a Kid in a Candy Store!

It was such a beautiful day that we decided to go to Research Park and harass, I mean feed, the ducks when Jordan got home from work.  He told me that he would take the kiddos and let me have some "me" time (can I get an AMEN!), but I said no thanks... and that there was no where else I'd rather be than at the park with my family---> enter ulterior motive.

So I have been doing camera research for forever and a day, dreaming about a time when I could take good pictures with a piece of equipment that responds immediately when the shutter button is pressed (imagine that!) ...well paint me pink and call me Cindy... that day is here!!!  I just got my new baby last week and this is the first time I've been able to take her for a spin!!!!!  The best thing about this new camera is that it takes like 2.5 pics a second, and as any good mother knows, quality pics of little people under the age of 5 are a dime a dozen, heck a dime a barrel!  At least this camera ups my chances a bit.

Here are a few shots from her maiden voyage:

Wow, maybe I'm a bit profile happy, or maybe I'm just lazy and don't want to move around to get good shots! Either way, it was fun playing with my new toy today!

By the way, anyone have a name suggestions for the new family member??  She's a Nikon, at least I think she's a she?????

Katie..I got a Nikon D90 for Christmas and it is so great but I am still learning what buttons do what! You'll have to let me in on any fun secrets you figure out about it! Have fun with your new toy!

Katie,
I love your new blog layout!
Your photos are wonderful! Your kids are growing up so fast.
I bought a Nikon D60 with my (anticipated) Christmas bonus money (had to hit the Thanksgiving sale, of course!), and have had fun using it on my kids at school and my dog, Kirby. I can see it being a LOT more fun on your own kids!
I love how you can't seem to take a bad picture with it!

Oh Katie!!! You have a knack for those beautiful profile shots, girl! And I guess it helps that you have GORGEOUS children to photograph, too! Congrats on your new purchase. I'm so thrilled for you! xoxo
