#1- I have seen an awful lot of people lately wearing leggings with a shirt that is too short. This is not the intended purpose of leggings- no one wants/needs to see your bottom coming out from the bottom of your shirt.
#2- Adults wearing child-sized backpacks. If you are an age in the double digits (ex. 10-99), wearing Dora on your knapsack is completely unacceptable. I wouldn't mention it if I haven't seen it. God bless America.
#3-Now this one is probably controversial... but why, on earth, are people wearing scarves and shawls in the 90 degree weather???? Every cute sundress doesn't need to be accompanied by a thick rope of fabric around your neck! I'm not saying that I don't think these are noteworthy at times- but the practicality of it just gets me. Don't waste the sunny day!!!
#4- And while I'm probably already offending some people, I'll just throw this out there too. :) NEVER, and I mean NEVER EVER, put on SOCKS and TENNIS SHOES with your capri pants!!!! I have never seen an outfit go from fab to frump so fast in all my life as when my mom stepped out of the car the other day looking absolutely snazzy in her navy capris, and navy and white crisp tailored shirt..... and then I looked down. I had to catch my breath. No words. But I still love you mom.
#5- I'll end with this- the long, pleated, broom skirt. I have seen this paired with tank tops trying to go for the casual look- I'm not buying, so please stop selling. If you ever wonder what you will look like in your 50's, just put one of these skirts on and look in the mirror!
And that is my two cents on fashion this friday!! :) I'm sure the two of you who read this will take notes, keep them in your purse, and pull them out when at your store of choice to make sure you aren't violating any rules. :):):)
I honestly mean this- I am so lucky to have fashion conscious friends that would never commit the aforementioned sins... this is mainly just venting about the ills of society and how they can all be traced back to bad dressing.

just yesterday I wore a pleated broom skirt over some capris with tennies. I should have taken a pic and sent it to you :) hee hee

I think you may have offended half of our family. All this time I thought Capri's and tennis shoes and socks were the hip thing. I thought the girls on the Hills sported that on Friday nights.
At least you have taught me that I can't wear tapered jeans that are just a little too short. What would I do without you?
