We ate lots of ice cream (everyone except me, I only had tofu)...
We saw dolphins swimming super close to the shoreline...
And we even had a talent show one night to showcase the abilities of our entire family, it was pretty short. We left Destin at 2:45 pm on friday, and arrived in good 'ole College Station at 1:15 am- just in time to drop Sharon off to go in the hospital and welcome baby Cade to the world!!! If we had TRIED we couldn't have timed it more perfectly!!!
The trip was awesome and we can't wait to go back again next year!!!

How did the kids do in the car? We might be attempting something like that in a year or so.

Liz and Beth, we stay in this place called Emerald Shores... Jordan's family has been going to Destin and staying in this area for about 10 years. We rent these houses that are AWESOME!!!! I think they have ones that probably sleep as little as 4 to as many as 18 (the one we had!) :). If you need more info, you know where to find me.
And no, I DEFINITELY had my share of ice cream. In fact, I consider that one of the biggest advantages of having children. You can bribe them with desserts, just so you can have one yourself. :):)
Katrine- the kids actually did amazing in the car. I am always really nervous about it- but now with the dvd players, it really helps. Also, this year we came home in the middle of the night (got to CS at 1 am), so they slept the last 5 hours of the trip......HIGHLY RECOMMEND NIGHTTIME TRAVEL WITH CHILDREN!!!! :):):)

3. The water looks so calm! We go to Destin every summer and I have RARELY seen the water look so still. And we have NEVER seen dolphins?!?! WOW...Super neat!
