Just Call Me Martha.

You know I'm totally kidding, Martha would be completely offended that I insinuated  my make-shift banner was ANYTHING like something she would produce.  I'm sure she would have made her own fabric, used perfect stencil lettering to make each letter the same height and width, and then sewed each one on with a zig-zag stitch done by hand sitting by a fire with a mocha.

This is nothing like that.  At all.

Though I will say, who knew that a glue gun is a girls best friend?

I found this big pile of felt that my mom had given me forever ago and decided this is what I would use to make my birthday banner.  She told me to keep it in my "craft drawer", and let the kids play and make stuff with it, ect....  Needless to say, its been sitting in our attic for the past year. :)

Basically, I just wanted to make something special that I could pull out for everyone in our family on their special day.  So a bunch of felt, ribbon, and glue........... plus a few hours later and a pair of neglected kiddos (said in a whisper voice),  and this is what you get! :)

1. I did know that glue guns are a girl's best friend. Why would anyone ever sew when glue is available?! Beats me.
2. Your banner is ADORABLE!!!!! I mean.... absolutely precious. Good job!!! I can't wait to see how the other stuff turns out.
