Conversations With My Kids

(Jace woke up early and is laying beside me in bed, our faces are reeeeeeally close, and I'm wearing a tank top)

Jace: "Mommy?"

Me: "Yes buddy..."

Jace: "I like your boobies."

(Jordan, Riley and I are all eating dinner together last night at the table)

Riley: "Today at school, Connor and I talked about kissing." (said totally matter- of- factly)
(Jordan and I shoot our eyes towards one another...)

Jordan: "You did what!?"

Me: "You didn't kiss did you????"

Riley: "No Mommy, we just talked about kissing when we get married. Don't worry."

Jordan: "When you get WHAT?"

Riley: "Me and Connor are getting married when we get to be grown-ups, then we'll kiss."

Jordan: "Riley, that is totally inappropriate talk for a 5 year old. If your teacher heard you say something like that she would be upset. I don't want to hear those words out of your mouth again."

Riley: "Which one, getting married, or kissing?"

Jordan: "EITHER!"

Me: (laughing thinking about all that is to come) :):)

i don't ever want to discuss this again until she's 18. I realized during this horrible conversation that I will probably not do very well with my girls and their boys. I'm pretty sure I turned bright red when she said the word kiss.
