Reflections and A New Game Plan

I can't believe that I celebrated my SIX YEAR ANNIVERSARY yesterday!!!!  What in the world!?  Honestly, it feels like its been longer than that and shorter than that all in one. Does that make any sense? Jordan took me to Cafe Excell lastnight (way to go babe) and then we grabbed an ice cream cone (and by "we", I mean "I" because Jordan didn't want any).  Six years ago I would never have been ok with eating an ice cream cone by myself)- lastnight, I proudly got two scoops. :):)  Anyway, it was an awesome evening and time to count ALL THE BLESSINGS the Lord has given us these past 6 years.  We are so incredibly grateful and look forward to many, many, many more years to come.

Now, on to a new topic.  My kiddos have been out of "school" (2-day a week preschool), for 2 weeks now.  I have already played more games of puppy (this is where we get on all 4's and bark around the house doing our best tricks and licking things.  Riley came up with this all on her own, and it has evolved into some sort of sick obsession), memory, baseball, tents, football (I catch the ball and Jace runs around and tries to tackle me down), cars, puzzles, coloring activities, ...... honestly my list could go on and on and on.  So my question is, HOW MUCH LONGER UNTIL SCHOOL STARTS BACK??? :):):)   I'm just kidding of course, in a way, but seriously, I do need a game plan.  So thats what I'm doing today- making a game plan for the week.  Something fun to do each day that doesn't involve me paying TEN DOLLARS to let my kids bounce at the bouncy place for 30 minutes! There, I feel better now. :)  I am going to have to be resourceful, think of creative things that are free- ninety-nine but still take up more than an  hour time block.

Any ideas????

First of all, congratulations on 6 years of marriage! You guys are just as cute as can be!

Secondly, I'm not totally up on all of the kid games, but you might check out this blog www.todayshousewife.blogspot.com They have tons of game ideas, home craft ideas, etc. Good luck with that! :)

Do they have grandparents you could ship them off to?? Dave's grandparents lived in Tennessee and Arkansas so he conveniently spent the majority of his summers away. My parents struck out by living within 10 minutes of my granparents. :)

I am with you Katie, what in the world do you do besides, pools, splash pads, and playing in the sprinkler. This is what we are planning...children's museum, making cookies, library, Barnes and Noble story times, Little classes or gymnastics through City parks and Rec.

I'm right there with you... when you figure it out let me know and we'll join you for the fun!

We did story time @ the library today ... free and "somewhat" entertaining. I figured it was at least something to do on Wednesday mornings to get out of the house.

And on the way home, I totally saw the field you were talking about on Welsh...yes, perfect for a splash park!!!
