Kite Flying Fun

I found this awesome kite at Sam's for $9! I saw some the other day at Target that were MUCH less cool than this one, and they were $10... also, they didn't have anything close to a shark. And who hasn't always wanted to fly a shark through the air I ask you?

Jordan tried it first, with Riley as his little helper...

And up, up and away it went! On the first try.... (or thirty-first, whateves...) :)

Riley and Jace loved trying to keep it in the air... they ran around under the kite like this for a good 30 minutes. At first I tried to explain that the wind was keeping it up, not their sweet little hands, but then, I realized that this wasn't a bad idea at all- they could run out all that energy they had before bed. So, I told them that keeping the kite in the air was their sole responsibility, and it would fall out of the sky and plummet to its certain death if they didn't run underneath it everywhere it flew. They totally bought it. Suckers. :)

And speaking of their sweet little hands, does this picture not just melt your heart!!!!??? I LOVE the dirty little boy fingers handing mommy a tiny purple flower... I definitely had a mommy moment over this one.

Anyway, the kiddos had a blast flying the kite, but so did Jordan and I! In fact, after about 30 minutes, they wanted to walk over to the park, so I just stayed and flew the kite by myself. Jordan totally made fun of me too! :)
